Belinda maintains close ties to the community that has been a part of every aspect of her life since childhood. She proudly served as the elected Member of Parliament for Aurora-Newmarket from 2004-2008 and continues to give back to the place she still calls home.
Hope for women without a home. Once built, Belinda’s Place will be the first emergency and transitional housing facility for single homeless women in York Region. It will provide life-changing services that promote dignity, stability and self-reliance.
Neighbourhood Network is a community initiative, founded by Belinda, while serving as President and CEO of Magna International, bringing together volunteers with local charities to support residents of Aurora, East Gwillumbury, Georgina and Newmarket. Neighbourhood Network continues to be funded by Magna.

A backyard family BBQ hosted by the Stronachs has evolved over 25 years to become a cherished and premier charitable event, one that residents of York Region look forward to every September and one that enjoys ongoing support thanks to presenting sponsor Magna International. To-date, over $7 million has been donated to agencies in the region.
Established by Belinda in 2004, the Give Back Awards are an annual $500 cash prize donated to 20 students from high schools in Aurora, Newmarket, and Georgina. The awards are presented to students in their graduating year of high school who have made a positive contribution to fellow students and citizens, and who have demonstrated an outstanding dedication to community involvement!
